Does Rapps LTC have a dedicated phone and fax number for facilities?

What if there are changes with a patient''s medication or if a medication is missing?
Double-check as soon as possible and before the start of a monthly cycle. Call Rapps immediately at (908) 821-9888 if there is something different from what you were expecting.
When will our monthly cycle and MARS arrive?
Monthly cycle meds & MARS will be sent 1 week in advance.
How can we get copies of prescriptions for documentation purposes?
Copies of prescriptions will be inside the bag with medication deliveries. E-scripts sent to us will be provided to you when we provide the medications. If in case scripts are missing, send us a fax at (908) 755-1713 containing a list of all the scripts needed and we will fax them to you as soon as possible.
What is the protocol if a patient has less than 4 days'' worth of medication left?
If a patient has less than 4 days of medication left and no medications are sent please contact us immediately. Do not wait until the last minute. This will jeopardize the patient to be without medication.
What do we do with new prescriptions we just received from the doctor''s visit?
Copies of new prescriptions should be given to us immediately for use or to be placed on hold. When new prescriptions are faxed, original prescriptions must be given to the delivery driver when medications are delivered.
What happens when we send a patient''s new prescription to Rapps and it is either expensive or not covered?
If a new prescription is given and it is not covered and it is expensive, we will contact the home to get authorization for filling.
What happens if a prescription is sent to the wrong pharmacy?
If a prescription is sent to the wrong pharmacy and that pharmacy delivers the medication, please do not accept it. We will transfer the medication from the other pharmacy and provide it.
What is the "Rule of Thumb" when it comes to receiving a patient''s medication after faxing the script to Rapps?
"Rule of Thumb": If you do not receive the patients’ medications within 24-36 hours after faxing, please call us at (908) 821-9888.
How does Rapps work toward receiving refills from the MD office?
We have dedicated staff that makes several attempts (through faxes, e-faxes and telephone calls) to obtain refills before delivery of cycle medications are made.
What if Rapps doesn''t receive refills from the MD office by the time they have to send us medications for the cycle?
If there is no response from the doctor by the time we send the medication, then a note will be placed on the outside of the patient’s bag indicating which medication needs refills. Since a cycle delivery is sent a week prior to the cycle starting, Rapps and your staff will have a week to try all possible means to contact the MD office in order to absolutely get the refills.
How long should we wait to contact Rapps for an emergency supply for a client running out of his/her medications?
Please do not wait until the last moment to ask for an emergency supply of medications, this may jeopardize patient to be without medications. Example: The night before they run out of the medication.
